To be able to realise successful projects, it is crucial that project team, subcontractors and client are all pulling in the same direction. One team, one plan. Not only in terms of expectations, but also and above all in terms of operating procedures and the way in which we can maintain operational control as one team.
How do we tackle this? By bringing together all team members in the preparatory phase and make them aware of the importance of the Imagine-Think-Act principles and pillars. For the Borkum Riffgrund 2 and West Nile Delta project, for instance, all parties involved were invited to the office for a 'Subcontractor Day'.
This day also included an ITA alignment session, organised in cooperation with the project team.
During this session, everyone experiences experimentally what ITA really means. More, how crucial ITA it is to successfully manage and deliver a project. Building on this, all participants are asked to write down their own personal ITA commitment for a specific project. All commitments are gathered on one poster and shared on the relevant project sites.
A project team that pulls in the same direction from the very start generates huge added value. Contact us if you want to make a good start with your project team. Or, even if a project is already in progress, it won’t hurt to create a moment of reflection and check if all team members are heading in the same direction. The ITA direction, of course!
